Position
Director of Children’s Ministry [DCM]
Reports To
The Director of Children’s Ministry [DCM] will report to the Discipleship Lead.
Job Overview
The DCM leads all ministry efforts focused on children (nursery - 6th grade) in the church. The DCM will create and sustain environments, opportunities, and programming for kids that are safe, fun, and life-changing, as we encourage kids to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. This is a key position to come alongside parents in discipling their children to understand, experience, and delight in God’s love. Success in this position is measured by, for each child at City Hill: a growing understanding of God’s heart, opportunities to experience His love and Spirit, and parents with knowledge of how to take an active role in discipling their children.
Responsibilities and Duties
Has oversight for all Children’s Ministry [CM] events, activities, and initiatives.
Administrates Sunday morning classes and nurseries
Organizes Midweek clubs such as City Lights
Selects CM curriculum, supplies, equipment & learning environments
Cultivates and manages a volunteer staff team including intake pipeline and training.
Sunday School Teachers for Age 3 – 6th Grade
Sunday School Helpers
Infant and Toddler Nursery workers
Splash Large Group Leaders and Techs
Splash Lifeguards
Children’s Check-In Hosts
Integrate & facilitate annual special events (i.e. Easter, Christmas, Impact Conference, Vacation Bible School, etc.)
Steward annual CM budget
Manage multi-use spaces in cooperation with the Facilities Team
Oversee upgrades to children’s environments
Maintain the CM Resource Room and Storage Room
Keep abreast of current ideas and best practices in Children’s Ministry
Connect with children and their families personally.
Acts as staff liaison for all CM team members and volunteers.
Communicates consistently with parents and guardians.
Casts vision and executes long-term plans for the CM.
Attends weekly staff meetings and is active in participating in the staff team dynamic.
Works with the Discipleship team to facilitate cohesive discipleship to people of all ages.
Qualifications
Mature Christian in a genuine personal relationship with Jesus; healthy personal relationships; sound personal finances;
Ability to lead, administrate, and work well in team settings
Proven track record with instruction and children’s ministry.
Well-grounded in Scripture and life application of biblical truths
Strong understanding of Christian parenting and discipleship.
Undergraduate degree in related field preferred.

The Finance and Operations Coordinator supports the church’s financial management and administrative processes, ensuring operational efficiency and financial stewardship. This role will oversee essential bookkeeping tasks, manage leases, contracts, and bank accounts, coordinate giving statements, support hiring processes, and assist with other financial and administrative duties. Success in this position is measured by the accurate and efficient handling of financial records, effective support for operational processes, and a positive impact on church resources and donor relations.
